DEUTZ and HDC Solutions Combine Expertise for Resilient Energy Systems
Strategic partnership for the energy supply of critical infrastructures and military applications.
At the international trade fair for defense and security EUROSATORY 2026 in Paris, DEUTZ and HDC Solutions sealed their strategic partnership. The goal of the collaboration is the development of highly resilient energy solutions and autonomous backup power systems for military applications, critical infrastructures, and public authorities.
Joint Response to New Energy Supply Requirements
The requirements for modern energy supply systems are fundamentally changing. Increasing electrification, rising energy demands, and hybrid threats require much more than traditional backup solutions today. What is needed are integrated systems that intelligently connect energy generation, storage, and consumption, ensuring continuous supply even under challenging conditions.
“With HDC Solutions, we gain a partner who complements our powerful hardware with highly intelligent software. This allows us to offer our customers integrated complete systems from a single source and ensure a seamless energy supply for critical infrastructure, federal properties, or military camps in the event of defense,” explains Marco Herre, CEO of the DEUTZ Business Unit Defense.
Hardware and Software as an Integrated Complete System
While DEUTZ contributes its expertise in energy generation, energy storage, and system integration, HDC Solutions complements the partnership with software solutions for the planning, control, and real-time optimization of complex energy systems. The goal is to dynamically prioritize energy flows and ensure the supply of critical consumers even in the event of disruptions or failures.
Intelligent Energy Supply for Dynamic Operational Scenarios
A first joint component is the GridCube. The modular and deployable energy management system connects various energy sources, storage systems, and consumers in an intelligent, decentralized architecture. By prioritizing critical loads, the GridCube enables a resilient and demand-oriented energy supply in both stationary and mobile operational scenarios.
An Important Step for HDC Solutions
For HDC Solutions, the partnership is an important milestone on the path to integrated solutions for energy security and resilience.
“The partnership with a company established in the defense sector is a huge step forward for us as a young company. We will benefit from DEUTZ’s experience and production expertise and will be able to offer not only our software as a product and service in the future but also deliver the appropriate hardware,” says Philipp Czasch, CEO and founder of HDC Solutions.
A holistic view of energy supply is particularly important. In addition to technology and products, support, training, and long-term operation are part of a resilient overall concept.
“Everything is nothing without energy. Therefore, we must further strengthen the foundation of our national defense capabilities. I am more than convinced that we will succeed in this together with DEUTZ,” Czasch continues.
Working Together for Greater Energy Security
The cooperation underscores a central principle of HDC Solutions: Energy security is a prerequisite for state action. Resilient energy systems are not created by individual components but through the interplay of energy generation, storage, intelligent control, and operational application. Together with DEUTZ, we are creating the technological prerequisites for this.
