How we Met in "Formula Student
Originally launched in the USA, Formula Student (or SAE) is an international competition in which university clubs take part. Around two dozen events now take place worldwide every year in which the teams compete against each other. The aim is to design, develop and produce a fully functional, small-series racing car within one year. Different categories are then scored at the events. The aim is not only to achieve the best times in various types of races, but also to present a "Business Plan", a "Cost and Manufacturing Report" and the "Engineering Design", in which the constructive performance has to stand up to judges from well-known automobile companies. The overall score determines the final ranking.
We got to know each other during our studies at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in the Athene Racing Team. We quickly realized that we wanted to continue to apply the skills and experience we had acquired in practice together after our studies. This resulted in the joint project "HDC BLUEPRINTS" of three freelance engineers, who subsequently founded a joint company in January 2022.
